I wish I could be evaluated by someone like you. I went thru an evaluation, and I, like countless other females, was given a 'likely, but....'
I am autistic. Likely also ADHD. I run Autism Fits, a non-profit that focuses on educating the general public about what autism really is and advocating for better accommodations and better recognition of traits/needs. I work with 2 psychologists, a social worker who has worked in the special needs area, a special needs educator, and a nurse with 5 neurodivergent children. All of us are neurodivergent, ourselves. I've run this org for 4 years now. While I don't have a formal education in it like yourself, I am educated in it enough to recognize I am definitely autistic. The one evaluating me even said she believes I am autistic, yet because I took it hard when my granma passed away when I was 7 years old (I'm 42 now), I was denied a diagnosis. If I was 3 and male, I wouldn't have to fight for it.
